Witajcie,
Mój kolega Andrzej Nowak, zaraz po trzęsieniu ziemi w Nepalu pojechał tam i zaczął organizować pomoc dla ludzi. Obecnie zorganizował już 18 grup (team), pomógł 13,5 tys. ludzi, obudował wiele domów i 18 szkół, dostarcza ludziom jedzenie. Sytuacja w Nepali jest taka, że ok. pół miliona domów jest zburzonych (niemal połowa całego kraju), a nastała pora deszczowa i padają ulewne deszcze. Ludzie z całymi rodzinami koczują pod gołym niebem, dzieci nie chodzą do szkół, bo szkoły też zostały zniszczone. Pomoce humanitarne, jakie dotarły do Nepalu zaraz po trzęsieniu ziemi, opuściły już kraj. Od początku jestem z Andrzejem w kontakcie, i prawdę mówiąc, jestem pełna podziwu za to, co zrobił. Dzięki całkowitemu poświęceniu i determinacji zorganizował ok. 100 osób, niemal samych Nepalczyków. Ludzie wybrali pracę z Andrzejem, mimo, że pracują całkowicie charytatywnie mając możliwości pracy w innych NGO za pieniądze. Andrzej otrzymał pozwolenie od rządu na odbudowy szkół, jako jedyna osoba nie posiadająca NGO. Obecnie jest w trakcie rejestracji takiej organizacji. Za ok. 3 tygodnie otrzyma wsparcie rządowe, jednak na te moment skończyły się mu już pieniądze. Na pomoc czeka 6 szkół i 6 wiosek. Dzisiaj wysłał transport za 5 tys. USD, zostało mu 2 tysiące, które jutro się skończą. Mam ogromną prośba o wsparcie dla akcji Andrzeja. Każda suma się liczy. Roześlijcie, proszę, do znajomych. Sprawa jest bardzo pilna, ludzie nie mają dachu nad głową, a Andrzej pomoc jest pomocą realną.

Help for Nepal

Andrzej Nowak-Rogozinski:

I’m still in Nepal coordinating, training people and executing relief transports to the villages.
I made huge step last week by uniting 4 other self organized teams of Nepali people under one name “Nepali for Nepali”.
I’m finishing process of registration an NGO for them.
I established an office to process documents for grants that are coming within 3 to 6 weeks (we just had an international conference of donors here in Kathmandu) I hope to get a piece of that for them.

So now everyday I meet executives of other NGO’s to go under they umbrella or to go for partnership.

It would be nice if u could read my vision for work (folder „general” on the google drive).

At the moment I’m in charge but I’m looking for some experienced executive to take my position (temporary solution is to leave it to one of my foreign friends – but at the end I want to leave all the NGO for Nepali)

We already have permission from Ministry of Education for building schools.
We do support them with assessments and summaries of our distributions that they can easier do logistics.

So the situation looks like this that for the next 3 to 6 weeks I need financial support.

It is essential that we will not slow down before getting grants. Our executive power is much bigger then our founds possibilities.

Now we have 5 assessments finished waiting for being executed. We have still 4 500 $ but this can cover just 2 of them. Today we have teams of assessors in 3 villages.

It is not so easy to fund-raise now like it was before.

Another thing is that on the market in Kathmandu there is no more corrugated tin and we have to order directly from the producer – still we order from Nepali producers but they are already overloaded so soon we are planning to order from India. But the minimum order is 25 tones so it means in reality 28 000 – 32 000 $. I’m trying to get connected with army and officials to if so get permission and have off duty. very hard job this days.
